Vessel availability impacts direct ballpark service, Friday, 4/5 thru Sunday, 4/14/2019

Golden Gate Ferry’s M.S. San Francisco is undergoing necessary repairs in the shipyard. Therefore, due to vessel availability, direct Golden Gate Ferry service between Larkspur and Oracle Park will be impacted for the initial San Francisco Giants home stand from Friday, April 5 to Sunday, April 14. Golden Gate Ferry regrets the inconvenience.

  • For Opening Day, Friday, April 5 and the day game on Wednesday, April 10NO direct ferry service to Oracle Park will be offered. Fans are encouraged to ride regular Larkspur Ferry service to/from the San Francisco Ferry Building and walk or use Muni to travel between the Ferry Building and the ballpark. Regular Larkspur Ferry commuters should expect a high volume of riders on northbound afternoon trips.
  • Golden Gate Ferry’s commute services take precedence over our special event ferry services, which include ballpark service. For this reason, on Monday, April 8Tuesday, April 9; and Thursday, April 11, Golden Gate Ferry will offer only direct ballpark service AFTER the game. Fans are encouraged to ride regular Larkspur Ferry service TO the San Francisco Ferry Building and walk or transfer to Muni to reach the ballpark.
  • On Saturday, April 6Sunday, April 7Friday, April 12 (TO ballpark only); Saturday, April 13; and Sunday, April 14, passengers using a mobility device who ride the direct ballpark ferry vessel will be dropped off/picked up at SF Ferry Building and will be provided with alternate service to/from the ballpark at no additional charge. Passengers using such devices could also ride regular Larkspur Ferry service to/from the SF Ferry Building and use this same free alternative service to/from the ballpark. Please contact Golden Gate Ferry staff at any terminal to arrange this transportation.

Direct ballpark service will resume with the next  home stand, beginning Friday, April 26.
