Public Meetings Set to Receive Comments on 2 Golden Gate Ferry Proposals – Oct 7.

The Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District will hold several public meetings to educate customers and receive comments on proposals: (1) to reduce the discount rate for Golden Gate Ferry passengers using the Clipper card to 30% off the adult cash ferry fare, and (2) to modify Golden Gate Ferry schedules by eliminating underutilized trips to improve system efficiency and generate cost savings.

Two public informational Open Houses are scheduled for Tuesday, September 21 and Wednesday, September 22, from 3:00 to 6:30pm, at the Golden Gate Ferry San Francisico Terminal located behind the San Francisco Ferry Building. A Public Hearing will be held on Thursday, October 7 at 9:30am in the Board Room, Golden Gate Bridge Toll Plaza Administration Building in San Francisco.

Comments on the proposals may be submitted in several ways (no later than Thursday, October 7 at 4:30pm):

  • In person at one of the Open Houses or the Public Hearing
  • Online using our comment form
  • Email to publichearing@goldengate.org
