After the Friday, June 10th service day, the Larkspur Ferry “Wave” Shuttle Routes 31 and 37 will be discontinued due to low ridership. The “Wave” Route 25 from Fairfax/Manor will continue to operate.
Both Route 31, which operates from San Rafael’s Miracle Mile and the San Rafael Transit Center, and Route 37, which operates from the Smith Ranch Park & Ride lot and the Terra Linda and North San Pedro bus pads, were demonstration projects to test the viability of this service. Neither route met the ridership standards required by the District to become permanent routes.
Riders have bus transit alternatives to/from San Francisco:
- Route 31 riders can use Route 27 from the Miracle Mile and 4th Street, or Routes 27, 44, or 101 from the Transit Center (note: Route 101 operates to the SF Civic Center). Reverse commuters can ride Routes 30 (new in June), Route 70, or Route 101 between SF and the Transit Center.
- Route 37 riders can use Routes 44 or 58 from the Lucas Valley and Terra Linda bus pads or Route 38 from Merrydale Road. Reverse commuters can ride Route 70 between SF and Hwy 101 bus pads or Route 38 to Merrydale Road.
