As you may know the Alameda Harbor Bay ferry is now a component of the growing Bay Area wide ferry system operated by the Water Emergency Transportation Authority (“WETA”). The new WETA ferry system will initially serve Vallejo, Alameda, Oakland, South San Francisco, and of course Harbor Bay.
But what the WETA system really needs is a name. A name that bespeaks “water transit”, is suggestive of the benefits of taking the ferry, and is memorable. If you would like to suggest a name or vote on a short list of existing candidates, visit www.eastbayferry.com and click the “Help Us Name the New Bay Area Ferry System” button….you might even win a new IPod Touch just for participating.
Thank you for your help.
