Terminal
The Sausalito Ferry terminal, also known as the Sausalito ferry landing, is a historic site. It has a long history dating back to 1868 when the Sausalito Land and Ferry Company began running a ferry service between Sausalito and San Francisco. Passenger ferry service was discontinued on February 28, 1941, before Golden Gate Ferries restarted the ferry service to San Francisco, along with bus service to the terminal, on August 15, 1970. Finally, a new, modern ferry dock was constructed in 1996.

Golden Gate Transit and Marin Transit both provide bus service to the Sausalito ferry terminal.

Sausalito Residents
If you are a resident of Sausalito and live within Sausalito City Limits, you are eligible to apply for a Resident Parking Passcard.
The Resident Parking Passcard allows you up to three hours of free parking in the downtown parking lots.
Commuters
If you commute to and/or from Sausalito you are eligible to apply for a Daily Parking Card.
The Daily Parking Card allows you to purchase all-day parking for a reduced rate in parking lots #3 and #4.
