Images of Venus through the looking glass from Larkspur Landing – UPDATED

On the evening of June 5th, SF Ferry Riders arriving at Larkspur Landing were treated to views of Venus through a solar filter equipped telescope. Here are a few images shot through the telescope’s view finder. Do you have Venus Transit images? How about sharing them with us!

Notice the sun spots visible in the center region of the sun.

This next shot is literally Venus through the looking glass! You are looking at a closeup picture of the telescope’s eye piece while the telescope is pointed at the sun.

WARNING: This telescope was equipped with a solar filter and operated by someone familiar with the dangers of solar observation.
