WETA would like to thank the ridership for their collective patience in view of the extended absence of the ferry INTINTOLI from the Vallejo service. This week we have seen a clear path come into focus with correcting a vexing machinery alignment challenge. The shipyard expects the work to take about 3 weeks, after that the vessel will be tested. If tests are successful, the INTINTOLI could be back in Vallejo by the end of June. At that time we will be preparing to take the MARE ISLAND off line for 2 weeks to perform some critical main engine preventative maintenance, and we also have a dry dock scheduled for SOLANO. Once we get past this backlog of maintenance you should be seeing less and less of the VALLEJO in daily service.
