An update from San Francisco Bay Ferry – Vallejo:
Be advised that the bus contractor providing backup buses to replace the 700 am Vallejo ferry departure is experiencing difficulty in providing the buses in a timely manner. We are working with them to get buses there as soon as possible. Updates will be provided.
San Francisco Bay Ferry currently has two large ferries out of service heading into the work week ahead. The SOLANO is out for 10 days of planned maintenance to swap out one of her main engines and to complete other planned maintenance actions. The MARE ISLAND experienced a serious coolant leak on one of its main engines this morning at start-up; and repairs are currently underway.
We hope to have the MARE ISLAND fixed sometime on Tuesday, but we will only have two operational ferries for Monday, June 16th.
We will run buses to complete the 07:00 and 16:05 Vallejo departures; and the corresponding 08:30 and 17:15 SF Ferry Building departures.
SF Bay Ferries apologizes for any inconvenience.
