Tiburon Rider Service Disruption in February

We just received notice of the following Tiburon Rider Alert.

The text follows —-

Dear Valued Tiburon Ferry Passenger,

To insure the safety and reliability of your Tiburon ferry, service will be temporarily suspended for approximately two weeks starting Tuesday, February 16. During this time, the floating dock will undergo important maintenance and inspection, which will require the float to be removed from the water, in order to examine its underside, and enable technicians to make any necessary repairs. We will keep you informed of our progress by providing updates on our website, Facebook, and Twitter.

For the convenience of our passengers, we are providing buses that will operate on the current weekday commute schedules, with service from Tiburon (a.m.) and the Ferry Building (p.m.). “Reverse commute” bus departures (Ferry Building/Tiburon a.m., Tiburon/Ferry Building p.m.) will be 10 to 15 minutes later than usual. A customer service representative will be on-site to assist and update passengers.

Buses will pick up and drop off at the Tiburon “roundabout” and at the Ferry Building in front of Gate B (adjacent to Gott’s Roadside, formerly Taylor’s Refresher). The bus fare is $5 each way. Commute ferry tickets are accepted on the bus, and on Golden Gate’s Sausalito and Larkspur ferries during this time. Mid-day and weekend service will be suspended.

We apologize for this inconvenience. Ferry service is an important community asset, for residents, visitors, and businesses alike. We are pleased to invest in the long-term viability of ferry service in the Bay Area, and thank you for your understanding.
