SF Pride Celebration & Parade – Tips/reminders for Golden Gate Transit & Golden Gate Ferry customers

San Francisco Pride Parade & Celebration takes place this Sunday, June 24, and Golden Gate Transit and Golden Gate Ferry can safely get you there!

SF Pride is encouraging all Civic Center Celebration attendees and participants NOT to bring bags. Only soft bags smaller than 18″x18″ will be permitted.

 

Please read the following important service, security, and detour information:

GOLDEN GATE FERRY

Golden Gate Larkspur Ferry has added morning and afternoon return service on Sunday, June 24. Added Larkspur departures at 8:15, 8:45, 9:45, and 10:00AM will supplement our regular weekend trips as will the return trips from SF at 2:45, 4:15, 5:15, and 5:45PM. The one-way fare is $11.50 for adults. Discounts for youth, senior, disabled, and Clipper apply. Kids 4 and ride free (limit 2 per adult).

Please note:

  • Advance purchase of tickets is highly recommended – tickets are available from ticket machines located at the Larkspur Terminal.
  • Customers should arrive at least 30 minutes prior to departure to ensure an on-time departure.
  • For security purposes, NO beverages may be brought onboard and NO beverages will be sold on the early Sunday morning departures.
  • Security screening will be enforced and bags will be searched.

GOLDEN GATE TRANSIT

Golden Gate Transit Routes 30, 70, and 101 operate frequent service between the North Bay and San Francisco. Beginning Friday evening, June 22, and continuing through early Monday morning, June 25, GGT buses will be operating on one of several detours in downtown San Francisco and stops in the Civic Center area will NOT be served. In addition, from 12:01AM to 6:00PM on Sunday, ALL northbound GGT bus service from SF will begin at Van Ness Ave & Eddy St and ALL southbound GGT bus service will end at Van Ness Ave & O’Farrell St. For complete details, including a list of stops NOT served, visit our Transit Service Alerts page.
