San Francisco Bay Ferry Enhances Service Today to Accommodate Passengers Affected by BART Shutdown

SAN FRANCISCO, Jun 14, 2012 (BUSINESS WIRE) — To accommodate East Bay commuters affected by the BART shutdown today, the San Francisco Bay Ferry is adding capacity to its regular afternoon and evening schedules, as follows:SAN FRANCISCO — OAKLAND JACK LONDON SQUARE — ALAMEDA MAIN STREET: SF Bay Ferry will deploy two extra ferries on the San Francisco/Oakland/Alameda route, operating a total of three ferries with a combined passenger capacity of 1,383 per departure. Departures from the San Francisco Ferry Building are scheduled for 1:00, 2:00, 4:10, 5:20, 5:40, 6:25, 7:25 and 8:25 pm.

SAN FRANCISCO — ALAMEDA HARBOR BAY: SF Bay Ferry will deploy one extra ferry on today’s route, operating two ferries with a combined capacity of 348 passengers per departure. Departures from the San Francisco Ferry Building are scheduled for 4:35, 5:35, 6:35 and 7:35 pm.

Service between South San Francisco and the East Bay remains unchanged.
