Ride Public Transit to Giants Parade on Wednesday, October 31

by admin on October 29, 2012

Giants fans are strongly encouraged to take public transit to the Giants World Series Victory Parade in San Francisco on Wednesday, October 31! The parade starts at the foot of Market Street at 11:00 am and continues to the Civic Center.

Golden Gate Ferry has added service from Larkspur and Sausalito. Ferry trips will board on a first come, first served basis. To avoid long lines and the possibility of missing a departure, Ferry customers are strongly encouraged to purchase tickets and Clipper cards before Wednesday from ticket machines located at all Ferry terminals. Parking is limited at the Larkspur Terminal and customers should consider carpooling, getting dropped off, or using GGT Route 29. Overflow parking at the Marin Airporter upper lot is also limited. Sausalito Ferry customers should also consider carpooling, getting dropped off, or using GGT Routes 10 or 92. Paid public lots and metered street parking is available near the Sausalito Ferry Landing.

Golden Gate Transit Bus will add southbound service along the US Hwy 101 corridor as necessary in the morning. All bus service will detour around the parade route and the Civic Center area. Delays are anticipated, particularly on northbound commute trips.

The Golden Gate Bridge will see increased traffic and delays are expected in both directions.
