Public meetings on proposed Golden Gate Bridge toll increase options

by admin on January 15, 2014

The Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District (District) will hold public meetings in the next several weeks on proposed Golden Gate Bridge Toll Increase Options.

For the first time, the District is considering incremental toll increases (smaller, annual increases in lieu of a larger increase every 5+ years), and we’re asking for public input on four options. More information on these options is available at http://goldengate.org/news/TollIncreaseProposal2014.php.

The public meetings are scheduled as follows:

  • Open Houses
    • Marin County – The Whistlestop, 930 Tamalpais Ave, San Rafael, CA: Tuesday, January 21, 2014, from 5 to 7 pm
    • Sonoma County – Petaluma Community Center, 320 N. McDowell Blvd, Petaluma, CA: Wednesday, January 22, 2014, from 6 to 8 pm
    • San Francisco – The Gatehouse, Fort Mason Center, 2 Marina Blvd, San Francisco, CA: Thursday, January 23, 2014, from 4 to 6 pm
  • Public Hearing – San Rafael City Council Chambers, 1400 Fifth Ave, San Rafael, CA: Thursday, February 12, 2014, at 7 pm

Comments to the proposed options may be submitted at one of the public meetings, emailed to publichearing@goldengate.org or tolls@goldengate.org, or sent in writing to Amorette Ko-Wong, Secretary of the District, GGBHTD, PO Box 9000, Presidio Station, San Francisco, CA 94129-0601. Comments must be received by Thursday, February 12, 2014, at 8 pm.
