Joint statement concerning Tiburon commuter ferry service discussions

by admin on February 10, 2017

Representatives from Golden Gate Ferry, Blue & Gold Fleet, and the Angel Island Tiburon Ferry met for two hours at Tiburon City Hall Thursday morning to discuss safety and operational issues at the Tiburon Ferry landing.

The discussion was very productive and helped to clear up past misunderstandings. The parties are all committed to bringing Tiburon commuters improved ferry service in the safest possible way and without unnecessary delay.

Golden Gate Ferry is looking forward to bringing a sublease agreement with Blue & Gold Fleet back to the full Board of the Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District on February 24th. If the Board agrees to move forward, Golden Gate Ferry service will begin soon after.

The three ferry operators wish to thank the community for its patience through this process.
