In the Event of a BART Strike …

by admin on October 10, 2013

As we are awaiting any news, we wanted to let you know that in the event of a BART strike, Golden Gate Transit and Golden Gate Ferry will run our regularly scheduled services. As occurred during the BART strike in July, we had additional riders on Larkspur Ferry and there were delays in the afternoon and evening in the northbound direction that impacted the travel times for our northbound buses due to the added East Bay traffic trying to access the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge from northbound Highway 101. If BART does initiate a strike, we will do our very best to keep service delivery on time.

To learn more about what we are able to provide during a possible BART strike, visit www.goldengate.org/bart/oct2013.php. For Golden Gate bus and ferry information, please call 511 (say “Golden Gate Transit,” then “operator” to bypass recorded messages)/TDD 711.
