Catch the Wave! New Larkspur Ferry Shuttle starts Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013

by admin on August 27, 2013

Golden Gate’s new Larkspur Ferry Shuttle – The Wave – makes its inaugural trip next Tuesday, September 3! Each weekday, The Wave will serve communities along the Sir Francis Drake Blvd corridor between Fairfax and the Larkspur Terminal. It’ll serve morning ferry departures between 6:35 and 8:20 am and afternoon/evening arrivals between 4:05 and 6:55 pm.

The new shuttle is free for ferry customers. Ferry customers simply pay their transbay fare when boarding the bus using Clipper or cash. Clipper users will need to tag on and off the bus and then tag on at the Ferry fare gate for the transfer. Cash customers will receive a transfer on the bus which they’ll present at the Ferry fare gate.

The Wave is being implemented as a 9-month demonstration project through June 2014. The schedule will be closely monitored and may be adjusted to ensure shuttles meet ferry departures in a timely manner.
